Research into Similar Products: Artist Websites (Inspirations)

Artist websites are key to helping promote the new release of the artist's album and also giving a space just for that artist to let fans know what they are doing such as when their next tours are. Artist websites also allow fans to buy merchandise from the 'store' and view live videos and a gallery full of images of the artist.

I particularly like Lana Del Rey's official website. The first thing that is seen on the website is an image from the video for the song 'Ultraviolence' with the title of Lana's new album, quickly promoting her new album simply and noticeably.
Right under the text for the new album there are direct links to websites where the album is sold which is extremely smart marketing which is good for fans as they can be directed straight to where they can purchase the album rather than searching around for it. As you scroll down there is a 'news' and a 'live' section full of information for when Lana releases new videos for songs and new tour dates, keeping the fans quickly up to date.
There is also a section called 'music'. This shows the different albums released by Lana and each directly links to a page with the entire album tracklist and a spotify playlist allowing people to easily access the songs. 

 Underneath the 'music' section there is a 'gallery' section which allows fans to view images of Lana Del Rey during the different times of her album releases. There is also a 'live' gallery which features images from live shows and an 'Instagram' section, linking to Lana's Instagram, promoting her own account of which she runs which allows her to give an insight to her life to fans. 

The last thing on the front page of the website is the 'video' section. This shows videos that Lana has released for songs off of her albums and easily allows fans to go to those songs and videos on youtube which also helps promote her new and old album and the artist herself.
